Michael has successfully prosecuted Jazz Reid – who has been sentenced to 38 year imprisonment with a 5 year extended licence.

In November 2025 Jazz Reid was convicted of a triple shooting in the Ladbroke Grove area of North Kensington, London. Having disguised himself as a Deliveroo rider he shot a man in his home, and a father and his 8 year old daughter in a stationary vehicle with other family members.

On three occasions in October 2024 and November 2024, Jazz Reid travelled from Uxbridge to Ladbroke Grove to carry out the shootings. He took steps to evade detection, including using hire vehicles and an electric bicycle, changing into a disguise and using burner phones that he later discarded.

The convictions followed a 6-week trial that examined expert evidence relating to DNA, cell site, firearms analysis, gunshot residue, trajectory analysis, injury analysis, interpretation of lyrics, and the results of an extensive police investigation.

Jazz Reid was convicted of attempted murder, wounding with intent, and offences of possession of firearms and ammunition with intent to endanger life . He was sentenced on 15 January 2026 by HHJ Whitehouse KC to 38 years imprisonment with a 5 year extended licence.

Michael was instructed by the CPS to prosecute the case, leading Trevor Archer (Red Lion Chambers).
